9. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes – Don’t expect the friendly Caeser from the first film; the apes are taking over the world and he is their intelligent leader. Gary Oldman narrates the trailer, demonstrating humanity’s struggle against the conquering beasts, a far cry from the feel good scenes presented in the Rise. While we all know who will eventuate to be Earth’s dominant species, there is something about these movies that captures the attention. Perhaps we want to know how to stop them should we face the same predicament.
