Formerly the frontman of iconic and controversial band ‘The Smiths’, Morrissey will be hitting Australian shores in May for four exclusive shows at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Vivid LIVE festival this year.
Sydney-siders will be graced by the Brit legend’s presence beginning on 26th May as he showcases his extensive back catalogue and as well as his latest album, 2014’s World Peace Is None of Your Business.
And in true Morrissey fashion, the word is already out that he’ll be enforcing a strict “No Meat Policy” at any of his shows both backstage and at the food and beverage bars – cue ‘Meat is Murder’.
Sydney Opera House’s Head of Contemporary Music, Ben Marshall, is expecting the shows to sell out fast and has spoken of his excitement to News Limited –
“I have vivid teenage memories of his face all over our lever-arch files in high school, so it’s amazing to now showcase his artistry on the Concert Hall stage”.
