The JBL Charge 3 definitely has a lot of positive talking points. But most importantly, the sound quality; while not perfect, its definitely still impressive for a portable speaker. Delivering rich bass tones while still nice and bright on the high end.
An added bonus, for a stereo sound experience it can be synced up with multiple JBL speakers through the JBL Connect app.

Also worth mentioning, a massive 6000mAh battery which doubles as a phone/tablet charger. and JBL have started to implement waterproofing to a number of their products, making them truly portable. However it is these two features which have lead to a rather bulky design, at 213 x 87 x 88.5mm and 0.8kg (1.76 pounds). So if you’re looking for a slim, lightweight portable speaker this isn’t for you.
The trade off for the added size; truly impressive sound quality, 20 hours of battery life and full waterproofing.

Other than the weight, which might be a concern to those looking to carry the speaker around with them in a bag, there’s not a great deal to fault with this speaker.
But if the weight really is an issue you can always go with its smaller counterpart, the JBL Flip 3 which still definitely packs a punch.

Overall the JBL Charge 3 stands tall in a crowded market of portable bluetooth speakers, its a no brainer over its competitors such as the UE Boom, even coming in a little cheaper at AU$178 from retailers such as Harvey Norman.
