The 2017 Festival will be held on Sunday 12 February, where over 400,000 festival goers will enjoy a wide variety of Australian music and entertainment across the entire St Kilda precinct.

“The wide variety of talent on offer is what makes the Festival so unique and successful every year – we encourage everyone to apply.” said Festival Producer, Adele Denison.

Applications are now open in the following categories:

The Festival is on the lookout for events and activities to place around the Festival precinct and create a much-loved Festival vibe. If you are involved in something unique and want to share this with over 400,000 festival-goers, then apply today.

Children’s Entertainment
Each year, the St Kilda Festival has a dedicated Kidzone Stage and area, providing fun performances and activities for kids and families of all ages.

Community Groups

The City of Port Phillip welcomes local community group participation in the St Kilda Festival as an annual celebration of our local culture. Festival Community contributions have been made available to assist local community groups who may not otherwise be able to participate in the Festival due to financial or resource implications.

Charity Partners

Registered charities are invited to submit a proposal for an activity or activation at St Kilda Festival. Working in collaboration with Festival organisers, charity partners have the opportunity to contribute to the vibrant carnival atmosphere on the day, while gaining invaluable access to the Festival audience to raise funds and promote awareness of their organisation.

New Music Stage

Hailed as one of the highlights of St Kilda Festival, the New Music Stage returns, offering Australia’s best emerging talent a chance to play at the country’s largest free music festival. Ten Australian acts will be selected to play on the New Music Stage, with the crowd favourite winning $5,000 and a spot on the Main Stage at the 2018 Festival.
