After a record-breaking 10th anniversary that sold out in less than an hour, Beyond The Valley is wasting no time kicking off its second decade.
The beloved New Year’s festival will return to Barunah Plains from 28 December 2026 to 1 January 2027, with organisers promising new experiences, expanded stages and another huge summer celebration before a single artist has even been announced.
If last year’s ticket rush is anything to go by, fans probably won’t want to leave their presale registration until the last minute.
Presented by Untitled Group and triple j, Beyond The Valley has become one of Australia’s defining summer festivals, attracting tens of thousands of music lovers each year with a carefully curated mix of international headliners, emerging artists, immersive installations and one of the country’s most recognisable camping experiences.
Rather than revealing the lineup first, organisers have launched this year’s campaign with a tongue-in-cheek television-inspired concept titled Fortune Favours The Curious.
At the centre of the campaign is Beyond The Briefcase, a fictional game show inspired by classics like Deal or No Deal and Family Feud. Fans who register for presale will be able to play an online version packed with clues, festival news and the chance to win one of five exclusive Beyond The Valley experiences before tickets go on sale.
The campaign teaser also offers the first musical hint for this year’s lineup, featuring a snippet of Dutch electronic artist KI/KI’s upcoming track What’s a Girl to Do in ’25.
While the artist lineup remains under wraps, plenty has already been confirmed about what festivalgoers can expect when they arrive at Barunah Plains.
The iconic Valley Stage, Dance Dome and Dr Dan’s all return, with organisers promising the Valley Stage will be the biggest in the festival’s history. A brand-new camping destination known as The Woods will also make its debut, while returning favourites including The Lounge Room, The Palms Pool House, The Sanctuary, POOF DOOF’s Cirque Du Slay, Jack Daniel’s House Party, Red Bull Unforeseen and Smirnoff Schmall Klub are all set to return.
Festival partners Bunnings and Salomon are also expanding their on-site activations, with Salomon introducing Base Camp, a new recovery space designed to help festivalgoers recharge between sets.
Those looking to upgrade their experience can once again access The Valley Club, the festival’s premium precinct positioned between the Valley Stage and Dance Dome, offering exclusive bars, cabanas, VIP DJ sets and dedicated chill-out spaces.
Accommodation options once again range from General and Premium Camping through to Pre-Pitched Tents and luxury glamping packages, while a new ARRIVAL travel package bundles return transport from Melbourne, a pre-party, DeLux camping and Valley Club access into one experience. Hotel accommodation packages with daily transfers from Geelong and Ballarat will also be available.
Over the past decade, Beyond The Valley has welcomed some of the world’s biggest artists, including Tyler, The Creator, Peggy Gou, Central Cee, RÜFÜS DU SOL, FISHER, Dom Dolla, Nelly Furtado, KAYTRANADA, Turnstile, Kid Cudi and Addison Rae, helping cement its reputation as one of Australia’s premier destination festivals.
With another sell-out expected and the lineup still to come, Beyond The Valley’s return is already shaping up to be one of the biggest festival announcements of the summer. If you’re planning to welcome 2027 from the Barunah Plains dancefloor, getting on the presale list now could prove to be the difference between securing a ticket and missing out.
