The Vinyl Factory: Reverb has been extended until October, giving you more time to check out the immersive exhibition at Fed Square.
Originally set to finish earlier this year, The Vinyl Factory: Reverb has been extended until 4 October, giving Melbourne music and vinyl fans a few more months to check it out.
The immersive exhibition, created in collaboration with ACMI and RISING, explores the influence of vinyl and music on art, film, fashion and culture.
The exhibition brings together work from artists including Stan Douglas, Jenn Nkiru, Virgil Abloh, William Kentridge and Gabriel Moses, alongside more than 100 vinyl pressings from artists including Massive Attack, Thom Yorke, Fred again.. and Grace Jones.
There’s also an interactive section featuring Technics turntables, a giant pink boombox and a reconstruction of the legendary New York recording studio The Church.
One of the highlights is the Listening Room, a dedicated space for getting properly stuck into the music, with curated records and after-hours listening sessions featuring local and international artists.
Originally staged in London, Reverb brings together music, visual art and the culture that has grown around records in a pretty massive exhibition at ACMI.
If you’re into records, music or just want something a bit different to do in the city, you’ve now got until October to check it out.
